Prof. Dr. Ahmet ÖZET was born in 1960 in Eskisehir, he graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He is intenist and medical oncologist. He was a clinical researcher at Boston University Medical Center for 1 year in 1994, an observer clinical researcher for 3 months in Dana Farber Cancer Center Transplantation Unit and as a clinical researcher in Johns Hopkins Baltimore in 2001. He was granted as Associate Professor in 1995 and as a Professor in 2001. Ahmet ÖZET, worked in Ankara Gulhane Medical Academy cheif of Medical Oncology Departmrnt between the years of 1995-2009, and in, was assigned to GAZI University Medical Faculty Medical Oncology Department in 2010 and to the presidency of the Turkish Cancer Institute of the TUSEB in 2015-2019.
He is also a member of TUBA Cancer Advisory Board, a member of TİTCK Drug Licence main committee, , a member of National Cancer Advisory Board. Prof. Dr. Ahmet ÖZET, who has the international memberships such as ASCO, ESMO, EBMT, IBMTR, published articles in 128 international journals, 120 international articles and book chapters, and 1 book (Paraneoplastic Syndromes, GATA 2001), 80 papers in international congress, 250 papers in national congress and 5 special issue papers published in Turkey Clinics. Prof. Dr. ÖZET, studies in Breast Cancer, GIS and Colorectal Cancer, Lung Cancer, Lymphoma and Myeloma, Genito-Urinary System Cancer, Gynaecological malignancies, supportive treatment in cancer, high dose therapy and bone marrow transplantation, National Cancer Policies, still is professor of GAZI University Medical Faculty Head of Medical Oncology Department and past the President of Turkish Cancer Institute.and Turkish sociaty of medical oncology. He is married and has one child.
